The Taliban brought Mullah Omar's car hidden underground to light
KABUL: The Taliban government has unearthed a car used by Mullah Omar, the founder of the Taliban, hidden in Afghanistan.

On the social networking site Twitter, Muhammad Jalal, an official affiliated with the Taliban government, shared pictures of a vehicle being dug out of the ground in his tweet.

It can be seen that the car was also covered with plastic sheet to keep it safe. The tweet claimed that the vehicle had been used by Taliban founder Mullah Omar.

Mohammad Jalal further wrote in his tweet that the late Amir Mullah Omar used the same Vigo vehicle to travel from Kandahar to Zabul during the beginning of the US invasion.
It is not clear in the main tweet when and in which area the vehicle was buried.
Earlier, the Taliban had also shown the house where Mullah Omar had spent his last days. He died in July 2015 due to illness.
