Facebook 101: How to Check Who Blocked You in Seconds

Blocking someone on Facebook is a way of cutting off contact with them on the social media site. If you find that someone has blocked you, then there are a few different ways to tell so in seconds. One way is to access your Facebook profile and click on the “Friends” tab. Then you will see options for disabling or removing friends and any mutual friends in common if they aren’t currently displayed in the list.

Go to the Friends tab and make sure all of your friends are displayed, even if they are not currently online. Select “More Friends” to check out your entire friend list. Scroll until you find their name, click “Unfriend”, confirm by clicking “Unblock” below their name, and click “Confirm” to unblock them.

Another option for checking if someone blocked you is to go the friends tab and search their name. If they are still listed as a friend then it means that you have not been blocked.

Open up Facebook

  • Open the tabs, click on “Friends” and scroll to find their name.
  • If they are still listed as a friend, it means that they haven’t blocked you yet.
  • If it says “people here now”
  • Then you’ve been blocked. Try to message them anyways, but t hey won’t get the message. You can also go to search bar and type in their name, if they are still on Facebook then they haven’t blocked you yet.
  • This method works better if you have a mutual friend in common.

Click on the three dots in the top right corner and select Settings

You will now see a list of all of your notifications on the right side of the page. Select “Notifications” from this list.

Next, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select “Account Preferences.” Then scroll to the bottom again and select “Blocking”. The last option in this menu is “View Blocked Users”. This is where you can see if somebody blocked you by typing in their name or scrolling through your list of friends.

To unblock someone, go back to Settings > Blocking, select “Blocked Users” and type in their name to unblock them.

4.If it says “people here now”

  1. Then you’ve been blocked
